Family Camping on the Costa Dorada

Planning a beach holiday the whole family will love? Camping La Noria sits just 150 metres from a shallow, sandy beach on the Costa Dorada — perfect for little ones to paddle safely while you finally relax. With a mini club, two playgrounds, and PortAventura just 20 minutes away, boredom simply isn't an option.

Why Choose La Noria

  • Mini club with organised children's activities in high season
  • Two playgrounds for different age groups
  • Safe beach access through a pedestrian tunnel — no road crossing
  • On-site restaurant and supermarket so you can travel light
  • PortAventura World just 20 minutes by car
Camping La Noria was designed with families in mind. Our Mobil-home ANTINA (32 m², sleeps 4–5) gives you a full bathroom, air conditioning, a private terrace, and enough space to spread out after a day at the beach. The Bungalow XALET (30 m², sleeps 4) is another popular choice — compact yet comfortable, with its own shaded terrace where the kids can colour while you sip a glass of local Penedès wine. The beach is reached through a pedestrian tunnel under the road, so there's no traffic to worry about. Platja dels Muntanyans is broad, sandy, and sheltered — the water stays shallow for a long stretch, which means toddlers and younger children can splash around in sight. Back at the campsite, the mini club keeps children entertained with organised activities during peak season, and two separate playgrounds cater to different age groups. Mealtimes are easy. The on-site restaurant serves fresh Mediterranean dishes, and the supermarket stocks everything from nappies to sunscreen. You won't need to load the car for a supply run unless you want to. Speaking of day trips, PortAventura World and Ferrari Land are a short drive south, Aquopolis water park is even closer, and Bosc Aventura offers a treetop adventure course in Salou for older children. The campsite is flat and well-lit, making it safe for kids to cycle or scooter around the paths. Sanitary blocks are modern and kept clean — an important detail when you're travelling with small children. Free WiFi keeps the teenagers connected, and the sports area gives everyone a chance to burn off energy before dinner. One thing to note: pets are not permitted in bungalows or mobile homes, so if you're travelling with a dog you'll need to book a pitch instead. The campsite operates from March to September, with the best family atmosphere during the school holiday months of July and August. Shoulder season (March–June, September) is quieter and noticeably cheaper — ideal if your children aren't yet school-age.

Practical Tips

  • Book the Mobil-home ANTINA if you need space — its 32 m² layout and full bathroom make bedtime routines much easier than a tent
  • Visit PortAventura on a weekday to avoid long queues, and buy tickets online in advance for a discount
  • Pack reef shoes for the beach — the sand is soft but the rocky areas near the coves can be rough on small feet

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the beach safe for toddlers?

Yes. Platja dels Muntanyans is a broad, sandy beach with a very gentle slope into the water, so it stays shallow for a long way out. The beach is reached via a pedestrian tunnel — no roads to cross. Lifeguards are on duty during summer months.

What ages does the mini club cater to?

The mini club runs organised activities for children roughly aged 4–12 during July and August. Activities include crafts, games, and group play, all supervised by campsite staff. Outside high season the playgrounds and sports area are always available.

Can we bring our dog if we book a bungalow?

No. Pets are not allowed in any bungalow or mobile home accommodation. If you're travelling with a pet, you'll need to book a standard pitch instead. Dangerous breeds and their crossbreeds are not permitted on site at all.
